    good computer with few problems
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a great computer. If you’re a Mac fan, you’ll love it. If you’re into multimedia, you’ll love it. Works seamlessly with iTunes and all the latest electronic gadgets like iPods and video cameras.

My only problem with this, which may be a good thing for some, is that is too big. If you’re not into multimedia or watching movies, in my opinion, you might as well go for the smaller screen. This can easily overpower a desk and when it’s on, it’s very bright, so that can be stressful on your eyes.

People seem to either love or hate the keyboard. It’s different than others, but within a few hours, you’ll get used to it and be typing with no problem.

I feel this computer is a good deal. It’s powerful with enough memory and space to take care of all your multimedia stuff. Should work for most businesses and households.

    Great Computer

I was considering getting a Mac Pro but it was a bit too pricey and probably more that I really needed. So I bought the top of the line iMac and so far I’m glad I did. Mine is the 24 inch 3.06 GHz model. It’s fast, the screen is large and clear and I can finally run the new programs. Mine came from J&R Electronics and delivery was FAST. I ordered on a Thursday and received it on Monday with standard shipping. They even included a disc with the new Snow Leopard. The only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars: Power button in the back – a little awkward to get to and I had to buy an adaptor for my firewire drives since they are all 400 and the port on the iMac is for 800. Also all the ports are on the back also which makes them a little unhandy. they would probably better placed on the bottom where you could access them from the front of the computer (but this might destroy the aesthetics). It’s a beautiful, self contained machine!

    IMAC

This computer is very user friendly, and the large screen greatly enhances videos and photos. It also has a built-in feature that allows you to enlarge the print font if you so desire. I look forward to exploring its many features and learning more from the tutorials on line. The I-Tunes selection is something I particularly enjoy accessing. Musically, there is the garage band feature which offers guitar and piano instruction. The Apple computers are very reliable.

    Criminally short lifespan

Much like an Italian sports car, the imac is beautiful, flashy, and alluring… at first. After a month of ownership, I might have written a glowing review. Having the machine die completely after 14 months, however, makes this my worst purchase ever. I suppose I should have listened to all the recommendations to purchase the extended warranty, but after 15 years of owning PCs without any hardware problems, I thought it was unnecessary for a desktop. Going back to the sports car analogy, unless you are made of money, and have a daily driver for the time these spend in the shop, think twice before purchasing.
